Hiya, I’m currently living in Scotland getting my Master’s Degree. I used to review for Front Row Reviewers but am taking a hiatus. I’m sharing some of my favorite adventures around the highlands and lowlands with all of you.
It’s been about two years since I moved out here for school and have loved the time I’ve been able to get to know the people and culture here. These photos are from the University of Glasgow and its surroundings. The University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in the Anglosphere, originally founded in 1451 and the main campus building that you see here was built in the City’s West End in 1870. Some of the most famous historical figures were educated here, including Adam Smith, James Watt, and Lord Kelvin.
I took these photos on my first little walkabout Glasgow. (I had to quarantine for a couple weeks when I first got here because of COVID.) It was really the first look I had at the place I would be staying in and the sheer beauty of it really filled my soul. I was in a different place with different people, yet I felt like I belonged there.
More photos coming! Thank you for sharing my journey with me so far.
