Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.” -Robert Louis Stevenson

Front Row Reviewers’ tag is “Celebrating the GOOD in the Arts.” When FRR began in August 2012, we reviewed local theater productions. As we grew and our base of reviewers grew, we expanded to theaters farther than just Utah (California, Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, Michigan, and even abroad) to give supportive, honest, heartfelt reviews about what our reviewers enjoyed. We started reviewing other forms of art: opera, symphonies, art exhibits. Art is everywhere.

“Creativity takes courage.” – Henri Matisse

We have decided to open Front Row Reviewers to all types of experiences. Let us explain. We want to start “reviewing”, or sharing experiences with the beauty in everyday life as well as performance art and what would be considered artistic in a more formal sense.

“You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” – Ansel Adams

We would love to publish pieces about what it’s like to be a dancer, choreographer, pianist, Art teacher, chef, diner eating food that made you say, “Ah–this is a masterpiece,” even if it’s a plate of eggs you make in your kitchen or something unusual in a 5-Star restaurant. A book that made you laugh or cry. A movie that was so great you say it twice (or more!) A place you went–a museum, a hiking trail, a fascinating building.

“Creativity is contagious, pass it on.” – Albert Einstein

Share your poetry, your photos, your stories, whatever you think will be uplifting to others. Can we do a Celebrating the GOOD in our Moments piece about a play or movie we’ve seen? A concert? The answer is yes! We aren’t asking for a proper review. Just share your experience. How you felt, why it was meaningful to you. If it meant something to you, we’d love to hear more about it.

“We don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents.” – Bob Ross

Write from your perspective, or from another person’s perspective who shared this with you, or tells you about it. For instance, did you go to a Children’s Museum? What did your eight-year-old think of it? Did you go to the Florida Keys with your tween? What did they love about it? Did you take your grandmother to Paris? What did she have to say? What is it like to be a stay at home mom, dad, caretaker? Share the GOOD in your moments. In fact, that’s our tag: “Celebrating the GOOD in Our Moments.” Of course, we want these pieces to be entertaining, inspiring, and positive.

“The principles of true art is not to portray, but to evoke.” – Jerzy Kosinski

Art and interesting, entertaining, poignant moments can be found everywhere and in everything, if we look at it with a grateful and curious eye and heart. We invite writers who are going to submit these type of pieces, a review or simply an experience to bring to our readers. We invite bloggers to submit your blogs. We want to encourage authors to share parts of their works in progress or finished pieces that are either published elsewhere or are still in the confines of your laptop.

“Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale.” -Hans Christian Andersen

Sound interesting? We think so. We want to bring Art and Beauty to the world in a more general yet specific way. And we invite you to come celebrate with us.  We hope you enjoy our new format, if you’re a contributor or a reader. It’s for us all.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” -Eleanor Roosevelt
