Flicker, at The Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival, 2018 is a stunning dance performance by local Salt Lake City dance company, Cat +Fish Dances. Choregraphed by Cat Kamrath in collaboration with the dancers, Flicker takes the audience on a captivating emotional journey.
The dancers, Conner Erickson, Madaline Maravillas, Emma Sargent, Kenzie Sharette, Alicia Trump, and Daniel Do +Dan Higgins, dancers with Repertory Dance Theatre, manage to do something truly incredible for a dance performance. Together, they create moments of utterly palpable tension through use of purposeful choreography. Several times throughout the performance, I could feel myself catching my breath afraid to make a sound, almost as if I was observing intimate moments unfold between the dancers.
Flicker is an all-ages show and one of the great dance productions afforded us during The Great Salt Fringe Festival.
