Board Member Brandon Stauffer

Why do you like being on the board for Front Row Reviewers?

I believe the mission of FRR is so important because its about Celebrating the GOOD in the Arts and focusing on the people involved in the art. Front Row Reviewers works to uplift and encourage people to get involved and stay involved in the arts and then they learn and grow and so do the arts available to all of us.

Why you think FRR has value?

FRR brings value to our community because it allows people to get to know theatres, venues, concerts, etc. and what they are doing.  It gives patrons a place to go to find art productions and events. We are given a sense of community where we can get together and celebrate what is good in the arts. Too many times reviews can be completely negative and that is the wrong approach to building a community.  What’s amazing about art is how subjective it is and one persons “negative” review can hurt people and communities, instead by focusing on what is good about the arts. Front Row Reviewers’ consistent positivity builds and nurtures all involved. FRR is asking people to look for the good, and in the end be the good.  Positive matters, and that’s why FRR matters.

What you do in real life?

In my “real” life, I run a theatre company, On Pitch Performing Arts (OPPA) and Arts education program I’m lucky and love it every day!
