Pickleville on Tour has something that’ll make you wet your pants with Halloween joy this spooky season! A novel idea headed up by none other than T.J. Davis (Owner/Manager/Actor), is a Halloween-themed comedy show that can be described as the best of Saturday Night Live meets Studio C in a family-friendly smorgasbord of hilarity.

With comedy sketches that will take you from the ridiculousness of getting lost in a corn maze to the horrors of monsters under the bed, and with some good-natured sizzles on a few quirks of Utah culture (a couple of “ministering brothers” are about to be destroyed by the witch-in-training “Sister Sanderson” from their ward).  It’ll have you laughing till you cry and then laughing some more.

Laced in between the sketches, you’ll be delighted with some audience participation-based trivia that includes some fun surprises. An original (and super funny) song about skeletons written by T.J. Davis is another highlight (complete with side-splitting dance moves from two skeletons).

Included in this all-star comedic cast are Jordan Todd Brown, Slater Ashenworth, Brittany Shamy, T.J. Davis, and Kyle Cottam. All are incredibly versatile and entertaining. This group got together on the Monday before its opening on Friday. Jumping into a swirling pot of creative potion, over the next 5 days they smashed together this hilarious collection of improv-on-steroids.

With a fun and kooky Halloween vibe, the set grabs and pulls you in as soon as you see it. Produced by Lineset Design and Fabrication, it really adds a lot to the fun that ensues with every progression in the show.

Truly a collaborative effort, there’s no shortage of creativity on an exceptionally professional level. All the lights and sounds run without a hitch. The media, music, stage management, and all other behind-the-scenes bits make this show engaging. Credit is due to this important production team made up of Erin Davis, Bodie Brower, Tanner Funk, Tim Jordan, Jaycee Harris, Alexis Lilya, Mark Hulse, and Kyle Purbaugh.

Another awesome element to the experience is two pro-stand-up comedians who each have separate acts: Jaron Myers from Kansas City Missouri and Josh Novey of Phoenix. They both take the stage and throw down some killer jokes to mix things up. They each have their own flare. There is so much to love about both comedians. Myers has a way of making you laugh and inspire you in the same breath – it’s cool. Novey is a military veteran turned comedian who has a way of making you laugh at yourself instead of harping on insecurities.

This Halloween, maybe carve a pumpkin and eat a treat or two but be sure not to miss the best treat in town!! Pickleville on Tour’s Laugh Fest has 4 more performances for you to devour and destress to the max with laughter! Follow them to either Salt Lake or Taylorsville.
