St. George Musical Theater in St. George, Utah presents the family-fun musical The Pajama Game creatively directed by Lauretta Swansborough. With summer weather picking up It is time to cool down by enjoying a “Good Ol’ Fashioned Song, Dance and Romance” musical from the 1950’s in the historic opera house.

With three men hidden in a closet, two comedic drunk and jealous lovers, and one independent leading lady, everything goes wrong at the Sleep Tite factory A union strike generates a plethora of steam heat in this toe-tapping, comical love story. Our leading lady Babe (Janelle Young) and the matter-of-fact new Superintendent Sid (Andy Young) have an intense chemistry onstage. J Young’s Babe complements Sid with a mixture of determined energy for what is right, and unwanted desire for Sid. A Young’s Sid is a matter-of-fact triple threat with a ring of the true classic leading man’s vocals, honest reactions, and well-executed dance moves.

Consider this the only warning: Excitement, comedy, and spunky characters are at a heavy influx in this darling musical – just wait for what happens in Act 2. The not to be missed number is “Steam Heat” where  Sid, Gladys (Corrine Nelsen) and Vernon Hines (Jared Davis), also known as Hinsey, perform a spectacular Bob Fosse stylized choreography.

The next show stopping number, “Hernando’s Hideaway”, is a fiery tango executed with precision, energy, and finesseFor decades now, Western medicine tadalafil canada online has largely treated anxiety and depression with medication, a practice that has certainly attracted some skepticism. Though the ensemble is small in numbers they are far from lackluster in being individual characters and vocals. With musical direction taken from Norm Lister it is no shock that an ensemble of 7-10 cast members could meet the same vocal power as the leads in diction and robust enthusiasm.

The one note to take home is that a few performers needed to pull up more on energy in the beginning of the show to keep everything engaging. This production has a solid foundation and plenty of laughs are to be had.

In regards to the technical crew the choreography (Kelby Morrison and Amber Shakespeare), costuming (Tina Forsyth), lighting (Jennifer Roberts), set design (Nathan Merril and Lauretta Swansborough) and Hair and Makeup (Katelyn Parkinson) have the award of best awareness in coordination use of space and accurateness for the call of the 1950’s time-period.
